  • There are a variety of resources that can be used on test day. This video will show how to use expandable items. During testing, if you would like to make a reading pane or the question section bigger, you may expand either side so that it takes up the entire page. If you use the expandable item tool, your screen will look like this once you have followed these next steps.

  • The passage on the left side takes up the entire test screen. The answers section is no longer visible.
  • The passage returns to normal and only occupies the left side of the screen. The answers section is visible on the right side again.

  • This what one of the test pages looks like with the reading pane on the left and the question-and-answer section on the right. At times, you may want to focus on just the reading portion or just the question portion. Notice the left and right arrows next to the context button at the top of the screen between the reading section and the question section. To expand the reading portion of the screen, select the right-arrow button using your mouse or trackpad. The reading section will then expand to fit the entire screen. To put the screen back to the original proportions, select the left arrow next to the context menu button located in the upper-right side of the reading section.

  • At the upper-center of the screen, there is a left arrow button and a right arrow button. The cursor selects the right arrow button. The passage on the left expands to take up the entire test screen. The answers section is no longer visible. At the upper right-hand corner of the test screen, there is a left-arrow button.
  • The cursor selects the left-arrow button at the upper-right corner of the passage. The passage returns to its normal size and only occupies the left side of the screen. The answers section is visible on the right side again.

  • To expand the question section of the screen, select the left arrow located next to the context button at the top of the screen. The question section will expand to fit the entire screen. To put the screen back to the original proportions, select the right arrow in the upper-left side of the question section. Note that different devices may require different actions in order to make these selections. Thanks for watching.
