CERS Update for LEA Coordinators
CAASPP email update, February 8, 2022.
Dear LEA CAASPP and ELPAC coordinators,
The California Educator Reporting System (CERS) is a free and powerful tool available to all California LEAs from the CDE. This email is intended to provide LEA coordinators with information that can be used to support educators who want to use CERS.
CERS offers LEA staff the earliest access to the latest assessment data, as well as historical assessment data. We encourage you to grant teachers access to CERS by assigning them an appropriate role in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS).
CERS is a "one-stop shop" where administrators and educators can see results for all statewide summative and interim assessments, including:
Summative Assessments:
- Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for ELA and mathematics
- California Alternate Assessments for ELA and mathematics
- California Science Test
- California Spanish Assessment
- Summative ELPAC
Smarter Balanced Interim Assessments:
- Interim Comprehensive Assessments
- Interim Assessment Blocks
- Focused Interim Assessment Blocks
The CERS Sandbox training tool is publicly-available website to test out the features and functions of CERS with no need to worry about the security of student names or test items.
CERS Training—Coming Soon
To support the use of CERS, the CDE will be offering a CERS training in 2022–23. More information about this training will be available in spring 2022.
Direct any questions about providing access to CERS to the LEA's assigned LEA Success Agent . Visit the California Outreach
web page for other support options.
Sincerely,
California Outreach Team
