CAASPP and ELPAC: Extended CALPADS Downtime
CAASPP email update, April 12, 2022.
Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
CALPADS downtime began on April 6, 2022, and the system will not resume accepting files until Monday, April 18, 2022. The downtime was extended due to an issue with the upgrade. On behalf of the CALPADS office, we apologize for the inconvenience.
During the CALPADS downtime, the Test Operations Management System (TOMS) will not receive updates to student demographic or organizational information. To avoid any conflicts with information once CALPADS has resumed, updates made in TOMS will not be sent to the test delivery system (TDS) during this time.
Please note that the following areas will continue to be affected until CALPADS has resumed and the data can be transferred to TOMS. Please hold off testing students if there have been any changes since April 6, 2022, to either the LEA's test administration window or student data in the following areas:
- Test assignments
- Test settings
- Parent/Guardian exemptions
- Remote Testing Video Permission field
- Special education fields (added or removed)
- Enrollment of new students
- English language acquisition status (for students who have completed the Initial ELPAC)
- Demographic information (including, but not limited to, grade level, school, and LEA)
Once CALPADS resumes, it will take 48 hours for the changes in CALPADS to move to the TDS. Please note that this time frame starts when you upload the LEA's most current file to CALPADS.
Direct any questions about scheduled CALPADS downtimes to calpads-support@cde.ca.gov . Direct any questions about TOMS data updates to the LEA's assigned LEA Success Agent
