CAASPP and ELPAC: Testing Students at Multiple Schools
CAASPP email update, April 29, 2022.
Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
We are pleased to announce that users may now test students from multiple schools within a single test session. To do so, the user must have an active Test Operations Management System (TOMS) role of CAASPP test administrator, ELPAC test examiner, or site coordinator at each school within the LEA in which the students are enrolled. This scenario will allow students from different schools to enter the same test session.
The CAASPP test administrator, ELPAC test examiner, or site coordinator must have a role within all the schools in which students in the test session are enrolled. If the student attends a school that is not within the testing LEA, the student will receive an error and not be able to enter the test session. If an LEA has multiple CAASPP test administration windows, a student cannot be tested once the testing window has closed at the student's school.
This method of testing may be used for remote testing as well as for in-person testing where students from multiple schools within an LEA come to a single location for testing. Since test administrators or test examiners will be testing students from several schools, they will need to verify that SSIDs, names, and assessments are correct when approving students into the live session.
Note that this functionality should be used only for a group administration of general assessments. Alternate assessments are required to be administered in person, one on one.
