New Opportunities in Assessment Development
CAASPP and ELPAC email update, May 6, 2021.
New opportunities to be involved in the development of California assessment programs have been posted for the upcoming school year. These events offer you the opportunity to learn more about these assessment programs and learn more about the development of these assessment programs. New opportunities are available for the following assessment programs:
- California Alternate Assessments (CAAs)
- California Spanish Assessment (CSA)
- California Science Test (CAST)
- English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)
- Alternate ELPAC
Local educational agencies will be reimbursed for the cost of substitute teachers. Educators will be offered an honorarium if the meeting falls on summer or noncontract days.
Opportunities for the CAAs, the CSA, and the CAST have been posted on the CAASPP Opportunities to Get Involved web page.
Opportunities for the ELPAC and the Alternate ELPAC have been posted on the ELPAC and Alternate ELPAC Opportunities to Get Involved web page.
There are also new recruitment questions required to apply for meetings in several programs. To apply, go directly to the Educator Opportunities Portal where you can view the new opportunities, update your profile information, and answer the new required questions.
If you do not have an Educator Opportunities Portal account, you will need to create an account in the Educator Opportunities Database . The CAASPP and ELPAC Project Team would be happy to guide you through this process.
