CAASPP and ELPAC: Special Education Coffee Session in May

Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator, LEA ELPAC Coordinator, or Special Education Coordinator:

We invite local educational agency (LEA) testing coordinators and special education coordinators to join us for a special virtual Coffee Session on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 2–3 p.m. The May Coffee Session will focus on preparing for California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and English Language Assessments for California (ELPAC) alternate assessments and will including topics such as assigning alternate assessments, reviewing individualized education programs (IEPs), and ensuring students assigned to an alternate assessment in one content area are assigned to an alternate assessment for all content areas. Creating an IEP addendum that includes appropriate CAASPP and ELPAC alternate assessments will be discussed.

Coffee Sessions are hosted by the California Department of Education (CDE), Assessment Development & Administration Division, and ETS. For this special Coffee Session in May, we will be joined by the following CDE team members from the Special Education Division:
