CAASPP: Student Score Data File Available on August 5
CAASPP email update, August 4, 2022.
Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator:
On August 5, 2022, the CAASPP Student Score Data File will be available in the "Reports" section of the Test Operations Management System (TOMS). LEAs will be able to download this file in two report types:
- Enrolled LEA file: Data on students who were enrolled in the LEA when the LEA's testing window closed as of June 27, 2022
- Tested LEA file: Data on students who tested with the LEA during the 2021–22 school year
The data file contains individual student results for each test. Aggregated student results will be available during the embargoed preview on the Test Results for California's Assessments public web reporting site.
CAASPP Student Score Data File and Layout
The 2021–22 CAASPP Student Data File Layout is also available in the "Reports" section of TOMS . The student data file layout includes field descriptions, acceptable values for fields, and data sources. Starting this year, the data file will also include the performance of eligible current grade twelve students who participated in the high school CAST when they were in grade ten or eleven.
To download the Student Score Data File, follow the steps outlined in the CAASPP Student Score Data File Report section of the TOMS User Guide
. The demographic data for the LEA's enrolled students is based on enrollment numbers at the end of the testing window. Please note that the Student Score Data File for LEAs will be available in Excel format. For larger LEAs, whose student records exceed 200,000, the Excel file will be split into multiple tabs.
SSRs for the CAA for Science and CSA
This year, the analysis and scoring processes for the California Alternate Assessment (CAA) for Science and the California Spanish Assessment (CSA) will take additional time. As a result, electronic SSRs for the CSA will be available in early September 2022. CAA for Science results will be available in November 2022, once the State Board of Education approves the threshold scores in September.
